Al Price

Al Price, (gob iron with attitude) Born in Glasgow he’s spent the last decade in the relative peace of Galloway.

As an accompanist he’s backed Tam White, Dr Feelgood, Bob Brozman, played live with Rick Taylor and the Wayward Boys, The Woodshed Allstars and of course he’s an integral member of Steve Dowling & The Obliviates. Any musician who’s had the benefit of Al’s contribution will testify to the great range of sonic invention he brings to any track.

This character, or power, is not just down to feel though. He’s a technical innovator, re-working the reeds and tunings to bring different inflections and phrasing to everything he plays. He turns the harmonica into a true diva instrument. No cliches with Mr Price.

One of the most unique, and diverse harmonica players in the world today… World Of Harmonica

It is an ambitious debut album with a broad range of music and styles…. Harmonica World

He takes the instrument and the listener to some very intriguing places….. Blues Matters

Demonstrates Price’s remarkable fluidity…. R2/Rock n Reel
